Tipperary Friends of Animals SPCA aims to create an awareness of the needs of animals and to relieve the suffering of those that are the victim of deliberate cruelty or neglect. We rescue a number of abandoned or abused dogs and cats (and occasionally other animals) and find them new homes. To reduce the huge number of unwanted dogs and cats we run a subsidized neutering scheme to help pay the cost of neutering pets for people who cannot afford the full cost. We give school talks to promote a respect for animals amongst our young people and inspect cases of reported cruelty or neglect.
