Mischa Mischa is a delicious Border Collie puppy. She's just eleven months old. We'll try to be balanced in our description of this gorgeous girl, as we really are quite smitten! Mischa is a typical collie pup, all wriggles and giggles! She is super-friendly and loves attention. She's also bursting for a nice long run through the fields and someone to teach her a trick or two! Border Collies are very smart and athletic dogs with a strong working drive. They can develop bad habits out of boredom and frustration if left to their own devices for long periods or if given insufficient exercise. We feel Mischa is going to be a super pet for the right person. We would like to place Mischa with someone with knowledge of the breed and who can devote a lot of time to fulfilling Mischa's needs for exercise and mental stimulation. She is now with my elderly Dad but he cannot look after her for much longer. She can be sensitive and nervous. She does not like too many people at once and especially dislikes a lot of men. She will either bark at them or cower and shake uncontrollably. Yet there are some men she does not object to and we don’t know why she does this. I assume it is because she was abused as a puppy. We got her from the pound when she was about 1 year old. They said they thought she’d been abused. As she grew up in a family home she must be part of a family. She simply isn’t one of those dogs that is happy outside and entertains themselves. I have attached a picture of her taken about 2 years ago. You can kick it and she’ll chase it and then she’ll push it around until you come and tackle her for it. That is if she doesn’t decide to change the game and hide it from you under a bush! She had all her vaccinations and she is spayed also. She is a little old now at 12 and is a bit slower than before. She gets quite a bit stiff after exercise. She doesn’t know she’s old and she plays and runs as she always did and then gets very tired and stiff. LINUS Linus is one of 3 black Labrador/Collie mix pups approx. 7-8 weeks old. There were a total of 6 in the litter. 3 little Puppies These 3 little Puppies were abandoned on a quiet road out of Cashel and were found by very kind children who brought them home to their mom who then contacted us. They are 6-7 weeks old and too young to be away from their Mother. The are Collie/Terrier crosses. They will be ready for homing after 10th May and will have had their 1st Vaccination and will be fully wormed and Defleaed and Microchipped. Connie Connie is a female collie rescued from a ditch on Achill Island where she had lain for 4 days. She was terrified and it was obvious she had recently had pups. She has now been spayed, had her first vaccination, flea/worm treated, and is so much better. She's happy out walking on the lead, is less suspicious now of strangers just a little shy, but a very nice dog who will eventually make a loving and loyal companion. She is very intelligent.
