Clara PROVISIONALLY BOOKED!Based in County Offaly, Orchard Greyhound Sanctuary specializes in caring for and socializing its hounds in a caring and rural home environment. All the hounds here are neutered, vaccinated, wormed and otherwise in excellent condition. Clara is one of our golden greyhounds - 9 yrs old and full of energy and affection. Hardly a tottering oldie, Clara has no idea at all how old she is, and in fact is in a group with 3 much younger dogs. Now Clara is a bit bossy and thinks she is Queen Bee sometimes (which is why she is with the young ones! THey need her to supervise!), but she is not at all prone to biting or otherwise hurting other dogs. She loves her walks, gets along with the dogs in her group, loves people, and is excellent out running loose in the fields. Clara loves the night routine, and rushes to her bed at bedtime and sits at attention, staring intensively until I come to give her a bedtime snack. monty Now only a dog like Monty who is all of 5 years, neutered, awould love a home with older kids with whom he could romp , play footie his favourite game at the moment. He is an a affectionate chap and loves human company he would need a home with no other pets as he likes the one on one and cant be bothered sharing his pals [human]with other four legged that would get in his way. If you enjoy walking and have nobody to go walking with you think of Monty he would be an ideal companion as ye both trot around the park. blossom First up we have Blossom who is just licking her lips at the prospect of a long hot summer, walks on the beach,strolls in the park, arts festival, the races all shared with her special human who she know is out there somewhere and who just hasnt found her yet.Blossom may not be in the first flush of youth but in her heart she is a teenager. Our little girl is very friendly but shy till she gets to know you. She would make a lovely companion for a person alone, a family with big kids, a retired couple with time on their hands and a love of the outdoors. george Now meet George of the jungle who was found in a forest and that's how he got his name as he was surrounded in grass and nettles and roaring like a lion. Being a typical male kitten all he wants is some one to play with and a soft lap to curl up in. He is a dote of a little chap and his antics have us all in knots of laughter. Chops Chops is a neutered male mixed breed dog, originally an abandoned pup and taken in by kind people who are no longer able to keep him. He's now 9 months old, fully vaccinated, house and lead trained. A really happy, affectionate fella who has been loved and cared for. We are looking for a good home where he will be treated as a pet. Bruno Bruno is a year old, microchipped, NEUTERED and vaccinated. He is semi-trained and extremely biddable/motivated. He requires only gentle handling and is a favourite of one of our trainers as he is so easy to work with. He was a family pet and very friendly but a change in family circumstances means he came to us. He can be delivered outside Galway following a home check. Free training session comes with the dog. BISCUIT is a very friendly little Mini Bay Shetland Pony Gelding and he is 3-4 years old and he is 30” high. He is very sweet but is also cheeky in a nice way as all Shetlands are and he is great with other Equines also. He is looking for a Long Term Foster Home with a shelter and another Equine for company and he is well used to electric fencing or post & rail as we do not like BARBED WIRE for horses. He is Pass Ported, Microchipped, Vaccinated, Wormed and will also have a visit from the Farrier before he goes to his home where he will live out the rest of his life which will be home checked. Molly Molly is a spayed female mixed breed dog approx one year old. She is very healthy, has had her first vaccination and been worm/flea treated. She's a friendly well behaved young girl who hasn't had much of a life up to now. She is no trouble to care for, intelligent and her own personality has yet to develop fully. Cleo This is Cleo, a very pretty lurcher girl. She is 4yrs old and is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Poor Cleo is only looking for a new home due to a change in her owner’s life. She is fully housetrained, gets on with other dogs and cats and is also very good with children. Cleo is a tall girl who loves being part of family life. Flash Flash is a neutered male smooth haired collie, a well bred dog, bought into care suffering from malnutrition and an injured knee. He has now gained weight and will make a full recovery from his knee injury. He's a really intelligent and well behaved dog, very affectionate, clean in his kennel and good with other dogs.
