ABOUT US

This Web site is run by one person, myself, denise cox, and it is not affiliated with any group, organisation or individual in Ireland. I started it as the 'Animal Welfare Resource of Ireland' in 1996. It remains my passionate aim to create a useful online resource - for all welfare groups, individuals and pet owners across Ireland, regardlesss of region, county or border.

I am proud to say the The Irish Internet Association (IIA) presented me with the IIA Net Visionary Award 2002 for my "outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of the Internet industry in Ireland and beyond." (For both the 'day job' work and for the community work of IrishAnimals.ie) "She launched her personal passion, IrishAnimals.ie, in 1996. Today it is the de facto gathering point for a countrywide network of animal welfare people, as well as for visitors seeking to adopt or care for a pet. Thousands of dogs and cats have been re-homed through the site. The network was a key element in getting government support for the launch of an annual Spay Week Ireland."

The Irish Animals on the Web site would not be possible without the services of some very talented people: red moon media (Logo & image consulting), DoopDesign.com (technical wizardry) and Andy Neillans of ABCC Computers www.abccweb.co.uk and Allen O'Neill (DB magic).

cheers,
denise
